Puppies 8-14 weeks
A combination of in-home lessons and socialization field trips to give your puppy the best chance in his or her new life with you. Get help preparing for your puppy's homecoming or start lessons during your puppy's first week with you. From there, we'll schedule safe socialization outings so you can learn how to do socialization right, without putting your puppy's health at risk, while learning how to prevent common problems many puppy owners make. Follow-up with an additional field trip or in-home lesson.

It is a violation of California law
to sell
a puppy
under
8 weeks of age. Puppies removed from the litter too soon are at significant risk of developing behavior problems around dogs and humans. Developmental Stages & Socialization. If your puppy's breeder/rescue is trying to send your puppy home early, say NO. Insist that your puppy remain with the litter and mother until 8 weeks of age.
