4Paws University is very pleased to have Peggy join our team! Peggy currently teaches our Small Dog Obedience class.
Peggy's training career began more than 20 years ago training with her family, friends, and her dogs. More than 15 years ago she did dog walking on weekends, evenings, and in the morning before leaving for her full time job. This began the journey in getting education about dog behavior; through seminars, experienced trainers, books, going to dog training classes with her and friends' dogs.
In 2002 Peggy opened her private dog training practice in the Solano County and surrounding areas. In 2003 after volunteering at the Marin Humane Society for less than six months she was invited to be an instructor for many types of classes; tricks, two dogs one handler, Rally, and obedience. She found her passion is with small dogs.
Peggy has been a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) since December 2002 and became a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Council of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT) in November of 2006.
Peggy continually attends seminars and furthers her knowledge on dog behavior.
She lives happily with her husband and three dogs; Sasha (Rott/Shep Mix), Tatsu (Shar- pei), and Yoda (Toy Fox Terrier) who has educated her on small dog behavior and their needs.
