As soon as your new adopted dog walks in your front door, they start begin learning the rules of the house. These first few days can determine your dog's future behavior for years to come. 4Paws University supports the adoption of homeless dogs and offers Pawsitive Beginnings at a reduced price to help your new dog settle in.

This session is designed to give you an assessment of who your new dog is and how to avoid potential problems specific to your dog. In addition, you will get tips on diet, equipment, "dog-proofing" your home, preparing your resident dog for a new companion, and other training tips.

Note: If your new dog is already exhibiting behavior problems such as guarding food, on-leash aggression, growling or snapping at visitors or family members, or other concerning behaviors, please contact us before registering.

Due to increased gas prices, travel charges of $30 will apply for each session in Elk Grove, Folsom, El Dorado Hills and Davis.
