Kelly Ryan, JD, CPDT, CDBC. Kelly is co-owner and trainer at 4Paws University. Kelly has been training dogs since 2001, when she began working as an apprentice under trainer Angie Neal. She continues to study the latest in training and behavior through seminars and telecourses by the top trainers and behaviorists in the country.
In 2005, Kelly became one of the first trainers in Sacramento to be awarded the title of Certified Dog Behavior Consultant by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and is one of a select group of trainers in California to be certified, joining the ranks of Ian Dunbar, DVM, Jean Donaldson and Trish King.
Kelly is a contributor to the Ethics for Dog Trainers column in The APDT Chronicle of the Dog, which is distributed to over 5,000 APDT trainers and APDT members. Kelly speaks on ethics for other training professionals. As an appellate court attorney, Kelly is uniquely qualified to participate in this discussion of the ethical challenges facing today's trainers. |
