The day your puppy comes home he starts learning....including good and bad behaviors. It is important to get your puppy started on the right path before normal puppy behaviors become problem behaviors.

A popular program with new puppy owners, owners who have not raised a puppy in a while, and those who wish to learn how to train a puppy with positive methods.  Puppy Head Start is a customized program which addresses:

• Jumping
• Biting/Nipping
• Housetraining
• Crate Training
• Food/Toy Possession or Guarding
• Safe Socialization
• Prevention of Problems

This service is also available for expecting puppy owners who would like help preparing for the arrival of their new puppy. We can help you choose the proper equipment for crate training, housetraining and more!

All training sessions are held at our training center unless the trainer determines outside/in-home training sessions are necessary.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Our training programs focus on teaching puppies to be well-behaved family companions. Our training services are not suited for puppies that are intended to be outside dogs (more than 50% of the day), unless the owner's goal is to transition the dog to living indoors, with the family.

We do not endorse or employ the methods seen on "The Dog Whisperer" as these types of methods are known to be detrimental to the future behavior of puppies. Our training and behavior programs focus on the use of positive reinforcement training methods and humane equipment and are based on scientific knowledge of canine behavior.
